ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• I am so very sorry about this guys. Madison is just not well. I have got to take her in to the doctor and let them look at her. I am really, really worried about her. I am so sorry about this.
• The taxes assignment will not count on the 5th six weeks since there are several of you who have not completed it yet. We will still take a test over how to complete your taxes and a W-4 form on Tuesday, April 22nd.

TODAY'S ASSIGNMENTS:
I have a couple of assignments I would like for you to work on today. I would like for you to complete them. They don't take very long at all. Once you are done with these two assignments you can have free time.

* Click on link Chapter 20 - Managing Your Money: Internet Activity
Print out both pages. Complete both pages of the activity except for the Extension Exercise.
* Click on link Chapter 21 - Banking and Credit: Internet Activity
Print out both pages. Complete both pages of the activity except for the Extension Exercise.
* Staple all 4 pages together. Put your name on it, and place it in the 3rd period turn in tray.

SCHEDULE FOR NEXT 5 WEEKS: Please read the following information about the next two weeks. You will need to make some decisions about coming to school and I will need to know Tuesday, April 22nd so that I can prepare the excused absence emails.

• Monday, April 21 - catch up Taxes and other assignments
• Tuesday, April 22 - preparing taxes TEST and prep for the next few days
• Wednesday, April 23 - TAKS tutorials until 12:30 pm; classes 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th (I will need to know what each of you plan to do that day)
• Thursday, April 24 - I will be gone (out of the country), you will work on Chapter 22 (last chapter we will do)
• Friday, April 25 - I will be gone (out of the country), you will work on Chapter 22
• Monday, April 28 - I will be gone (out of the country), you will work on Chapter 22 (chapter work must be completed and turned in OR zeroes will be given {no ifs, ands, or buts) - this will be a regular school day

TAKS BEGINS (check with your teachers for assignments you may miss)

• Tuesday, April 29 - TAKS testing during 1ST – 5TH periods, then we will have 6th & 7th (Those not taking TAKS will be EXCUSED ALL DAY-it's not worth coming in for 1 class period) (try to work all day)
• Wednesday, April 30 - TAKS testing during 1ST – 5TH periods, then we will have 6th & 7th (Those not taking TAKS will be EXCUSED ALL DAY (try to work all day)
• Thursday, May 1 - TAKS testing during 1ST – 4TH periods, then we will have 5th, 6th & 7th (Those not taking TAKS will be EXCUSED ALL DAY (try to work all day) (IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH 5TH & 6TH PERIODS, THEN YOU MIGHT WANT TO COME IN TODAY BUT IT'S UP TO YOU.)
• Friday, May 2 - TAKS testing during 1ST – 3RD periods, then we will have 4th, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd (3rd period EVERYONE IS EXCUSED - GO HOME OR TO WORK) (If your 1st and 2nd period teachers plan to do something that day then you might want to come in; however, Those not taking TAKS will be EXCUSED ALL DAY (I would try to work all day)!

May 5th-16th we will work on a simulation packet that you will have 2 weeks to complete.

May 19th - 23rd we will do resumes and job employment stuff you will need for the future

May 27th - 30th we will FINALIZE ALL OF OUR PAPER WORK (calculate all work hours: must = 540 for full credit) and BE DONE FOR THE YEAR.

Leaving me messages on my phone or emailing me at elizabeth.crownover@manorisd.net if you have any questions about what our schedule is or what we are doing in school. Some of you have really gotten laxed about calling me when you are not going to be at school.

I need evaluations from Rueben, Ira, Jessica, Esther. If you have it, put it in the 3rd period turn in tray and I will come get it this weekend. If you don't have it, YOU BETTER BRING IT TO ME, 1ST THING - BEFORE 1ST PERIOD, ON MONDAY!!

TODAY'S ACTIVITIES:
1) post your weekly schedule to your blog today = DAILY GRADE - THIS IS WEEK #31
2) FINISH up your Chapter 21 work - it must be finished and posted to your blog TODAY. NO MORE TIME
3) Look back on yesterday's blog post for Wednesday's schedule. You must post a comment to MY BLOG - TODAY'S POST: TELLING ME WHAT YOU PLAN TO DO ON WEDNESDAY. I will be sending the excuse email by 2pm today, so if you want to be excused from classes on Wednesday, you will post a comment to my blog TODAY!!!

TODAY'S ACTIVITIES:
1) complete taxes project (test next week - you will complete a tax return (random numbers)
2) post your weekly schedule to your blog today (if we have time) THIS IS WEEK #31
2) if time, FINISH up your Chapter 21 work.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

• We only have TAKS tutorials on Wednesday this week. It will like last week, but meeting classes 1, 2, & 3. Obviously we will not have class 3rd period.
• It will look like this:

TAKS tutorials 8:50 am - 12:30 pm

Halls A, C, & D will go to lunch at 12:30 pm then to class until 1:40 pm

Halls B, E, F and everyone else will go to 4th period at 12:30 pm - 1:05 and then lunch
until 1:40 pm

5th period beginning at 1:45 pm

Think about what you want to do on Wednesday, with classes etc. and then tell me tomorrow during class so that I can make my excuse email.

Please get your evaluations in by Friday.
