TODAY'S ACTIVITIES:
Make sure you have completed everything through yesterday's assignment listed on the blog. I will be doing spot checks today, so make sure you are working on your simulation packet.
1) I will review and make sure everyone is up to date and understands what is going on.
2) Continue working on your simulation packet.
You are going to have to READ EVERYTHING ON EACH PAGE IN ORDER TO FIND OUT WHAT TO DO. PLEASE READ AND APPLY WHAT YOU KNOW!!
You will need to read all the information at the top of each section so you understand the background of what you are doing.
Pg. 4-6 (numbers1-4 and 1-11 will all be written on Form 2.8) Skip the THINK IT THROUGH

Today's new assignment:
Complete pages 6-14 (stop when you get to the Think it through. That would be October 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17,18 and 19.

I EXPECT YOU TO WORK ALL PERIOD LONG ON THE ASSGINMENTS I HAVE LISTED BELOW. PLEASE DON'T LET ME DOWN.
For Those absent on Monday:
1) Ask Ashlee where your simulation packets are (2nd shelf of grey aluminum book shelf)
2) Read the blog post for Monday, May 5
3) Complete the assignments listed on Monday's blog
4) Begin working on the simulation packet. If you aren't sure where to begin, ask for help.
TUESDAY, MAY 6:
1) Get out your simulation packet
2) Get out the Instructions & Forms book
3) Get out something to write with (IF YOU WANT TO DO THIS IN PENCIL, YOU HAVE MY PERMISSION TO DO SO)
4) Read the Special Topic section on page 2: How a Budget Puts You in Control
5) Go to your blog. Blog post title: How a Budget Puts You in Control
Post to your blog --> Type a two-sentence to four-sentence summary of the Special Topic section on page 2: How a Budget Puts You in Control.
6) Finish form 1 (we started it together on page 3)
7) Begin working on the rest of the packet, starting on page 4. You are going to have to READ EVERYTHING ON EACH PAGE IN ORDER TO FIND OUT WHAT TO DO. PLEASE READ AND APPLY WHAT YOU KNOW!! You will need to read all the information at the top of each section so you understand the background of what you are doing.

10) Read the bottome of page 6 and top of bpage 7. This explains what you will be doing to recorde Ryan's transactions. You will need the Financial Record book and the Checkbook and Register to work pages 7 - 10 (transactions for October 1, 2nd and 3rd). USE A PENCIL TO DO EVERYTHING IN THIS PACKET, IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF TROUBLE IN THE LONG RUN.
REMEMBER YOU CAN USE THE CUTTING BOARD, LOCATED ON THE SMALL TEACHER DESK TO CUT YOUR FORMS.

1) (1st 10 minutes) Post your weekly work schedule to your blog. (THIS IS A DAILY GRADE)
Title of blog post should be: Work Schedule #34
2) Get out something to write with and you will need a sheet of paper to write on
3) Discuss and setup for Simulation Packet
Review writing a check.
This simulation requires 18-22 hours to complete (we don't have all of that class time), so there may be times when I will assign for you to work on this simulation packet outside of class.
You will be required to bring this packet to class EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you don't bring it to class, it will be a zero each day you don't bring it.
TOMORROW:
You must bring your simulation packe to class, you will be working on it all period. You will also be leaving it in class for a daily grade check.

- May 27th - 30th we will FINALIZE ALL OF OUR PAPER WORK (calculate all work hours: must = 540 for full credit) and BE DONE FOR THE YEAR. (VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ARE ARE HERE EVERY DAY THIS WEEK!)
- Semester Exam will be the average of all of your Employer evaluations. Unless yall would rather take a test???

Thursday, April 24:
* You will be working on a packet that reviews Chapter 21. Please do the best you can and complete the whole worksheet. You may need to use your textbooks to help you fill it out correctly. The book will help you.
* The sub will be passing out the worksheet packets to you.
* Worksheet is due by the end of the period today.
* The sub will also give you your "pass" that I sent to the teachers for excused absences next week.
Friday, April 25:
* You will be reading an article about car insurance and typing a summary.
* The sub will be passing out the articles to you. DO NOT write on the articles.
* You will be typing a summary in WORD about the important points and what you learned from the article.
* Double Space your document and full justify your document
* It must be printed out and turned in to the 3rd period turn in tray by the end of the period today.
* Turn your article handout back in to the sub at the end of the period today.
Monday, April 28:
* post your weekly schedule on your blog. It is week #33.
Be sure to title your blog post Week #33 Work Schedule.
* You are going to do a worksheet packet.
* You can write on this paper.
* To complete the 1st page, use the handout that is directly behind the first page.
* Fill in the Resume worksheet (page 3) with your real information. You can put information from 9th-12th grade. You can list awards, honors, and activities that you have done inside and outside of school.
* There is an example of a resume stapled directly behind the Resume Worksheet
* The last page, poses some questions to you. I would like for you to answer the questions that last page in the space provided for you. It is a good time to reflect and write down your thoughts and feelings.
* This packet must be completed by the end of the period today. Place your packet in the 3rd period turn in tray at the end of the peirod TODAY (whether done or not done). Something is better than nothing.
You will receive a daily grade and a test grade for each assignment, each day.

This is work week # 32. Be sure to post something.
2) 5th Six Weeks Time Sheet is DUE TOMORROW (worth = 3 grades)
3) Discuss the next few days. Get information about Wednesday and next weeks TAKS testing.
MUST DOs FOR TODAY:
4) Those of you who have not done your taxes for a grade (you will work with me for a few minutes to complete that task.
5) Those absent on Friday need to go to my blog posting for the 18th and complete the work that was assigned (Chapter 20 and Chapter 21 worksheets)
6) If you have completed everything, study and go over how to fill out a W-4 form and to complete your taxes.
