HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
If you leave school before 6th period and you got a card for flowers, you can go pick them up in the AG building on your way out. Otherwise you need to wait until 6th period to get them.

I am sorry I am gone again. Motherly duties arose again this morning.

Don't forget, I must have a copy of your W-2 forms tomorrow, no matter what. We will do taxes next Tuesday/Wednesday and it will count as 5 grades in the 50% portion of your six weeks average. So get those in. If you have yours today, just put it in the turn in tray.

TODAY'S ASSIGNMENTS:
1) I feel certain that everyone is up to date now and that you have all of your Chapter 20 work turned in or posted to your blog.

I would like for you to do some more study on Chapter 20, there is a series of websites and activities I want you to go to for practice

• Play the game. Simply drag the word number to the correct definition. Keep playing until you get all of them correct.

• Take the practice test
• Take it as many times as you can; trying to increase your score each time
• Print out page one of one ONLY, put your name on it and turn it in to your class period tray

4) Make a NEW POST: title it MY CAREER (Due today)

• In this post I want you to tell me the following things and answer the following questions.
• If you had to pick a career today, what you want to do for the rest of your life job wise
• What would your 2nd and 3rd choice be?
• Have you researched these careers/jobs in any way?
• Why do you think you would like to do this as a career/job?
• Anything else you can tell me about your career choices that you think I need to know.
• Have you created a resume of your skills to date?

• Make sure you have all Chapter 20 assignments posted to your blog.
• Make sure you turn in Chapter 20 worksheet packets
• ALL OF CHAPTER 20 ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE TODAY!! POSTED TO BLOG AND TURNED IN TO TURN IN TRAY.

TOMORROW:

• we will go over Chapter 20 assignments
• BEGIN TO prepare for test over Chapter 20 information on Thursday, Feb. 14th.
• I will also introduce and start with you a simulation packet that we will be working on for several weeks to complete. You will be required to bring it to class with you every single day, becuase you will not know when I will have you work on it in class or not.

IMPORTNAT ANNOUNCEMENT:

• We will complete taxes all together next Tuesday.
• This project will count as 1/2 of 50% of your overall six weeks average.
• I must have a copy of your W-2 by the end of THIS week, Friday.
• You will not pass this project, if I do not have a copy of ALL OF YOUR 2007 W-2 FORMS.

* In addition, if your pay check stubs and record sheest are not completely up-to-date by the end of this week, you will not PASS THE SIX WEEKS. I must have all of that complete and up to date in your accum folder.
* Some of you are being very lazy about this task and you just can't be lazy anymore!!! Grades are going to be severly affected by this.

GET EVERYTHING FINISHED AND UP-TO-DATE.
